Half of Me

Abstract expressionism began in the 1940s and 1950s. This art movement has to do with brush strokes and an impression left from the painting. I painted a girl using many different colours and brush strokes to create an impression of fierce and anger expressed on the girl's face. Soft long brush strokes are used to create her colourful hair and sharp short brushes used to create her face.

This relates to society as though not everyone you meet shows you their true colours and as you come to know them you see different sides to them that you never have seen. People are not always who they seem to be in life and this painting shows me that they have different colours thus is the reason why I used different colours in creating this painting.
